“God Cares For Us” is the theme for the 2nd-grade Sunday School. Through the 16 lessons, the children are taught about the importance of the Bible in the Church, the power of prayer in their lives, treating others with love and respect, understanding symbolism in the church, embracing their special connection with God and others, spreading the good news, and the sacrament of baptism. These lessons emphasize God’s love, care, and guidance in every aspect of their lives, showing that God is always present, watching over them, and providing for them in their journey of faith and spiritual growth. Each lesson ultimately reflects how God cares for and loves each of His children, guiding them on their path to understanding and living out the teachings of the Nicene Creed.
