  • Vocabulary
    • "Contemplating" means thinking carefully or deeply about something. It is taking a moment to reflect on what you have done, both good and bad. When God was contemplating Adam, He was very happy. As it says in Scripture, God saw everything He made was good and blessed them (Genesis 1). Sometimes when we contemplate it's when we did something wrong and feel sorry for it, which is also a good action as we can try to do better next time.
    • "Exalted" means something or someone who is very important or special. It is like when we see a king or queen, we know they are exalted because they have a very important role and people respect and honor them. In the same way, when we say God is exalted, it means He is very important and special, and we should show deep respect and honor towards Him.
    • "Role" can be defined as a job or something that a person needs to do. It means the specific responsibilities or tasks that someone has in a particular situation or community. For example, just like how a teacher's role is to teach students or a doctor's role is to take care of sick people, we all have different roles in our lives. In the context of the lesson, the roles of a deacon, a priest, and a bishop refer to the specific tasks and responsibilities they have in the church community.
    • "Stewardship" is the job of taking care of something or someone. It means to be responsible for and look after something or someone. In the context of our lesson, stewardship refers to taking care of God's creation and all the things that He has given us. Just like a priest takes care of his congregation, we can also practice stewardship by taking care of the world around us, praying for others, doing acts of kindness, and sharing the love of Christ with others .
    • The "pharaoh" was the ruler of Egypt a long time ago. He was like a king, and he thought he was very powerful. The people in Egypt believed that Pharaoh was even like a god. But even though Pharaoh thought he was very important, there was only one true God who was more powerful than Pharaoh.
