  • What makes us Orthodox?
    • “Apostolic succession is an indispensable factor in preserving unity in the Church. Those in that succession are accountable to it, and are responsible to ensure that all teaching and practice in the Church is in keeping with her apostolic foundations. Mere personal conviction that one's teaching is correct can never be considered adequate proof of accuracy.” (Apostolic Succession, Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America)
  • Summary
    • Apostolic succession preserves alignment, unity and sanctity of an uncorrupt faith and as faithful of the Holy Church it is our responsibility to safeguard that original teaching and practice of the Church.
    • “We do not change the everlasting boundaries which our fathers have set but we keep the Tradition, just as we received it.” (St. John of Damascus)
    • "We preserve the Doctrine of the Lord uncorrupted, and firmly adhere to the Faith he delivered to us, and keep it free from blemish and diminution, as a Royal Treasure, and a monument of great price, neither adding anything, nor taking anything from it.
