- Vocabulary
- "Sin" is when we do something that we know is wrong or not pleasing to God. It's like when we don't listen to our parents or when we are mean to our friends. Sinning means going away from God and not following His teachings. Just like how we should always try to be kind, loving, and helpful, sinning is when we do the opposite and make bad choices.
- "Humility" is when we remember that we are not better than others and that it is God who gives us everything and makes us special. It means being humble and not thinking we are more important than anyone else. For example, when we share our toys or help someone without being asked, we are showing humility.
- To "repent" is when we feel sorry for something we did wrong and want to make it right. It means saying sorry to God and promising to try our best to do good things .
- "Forgiveness" is letting go of hard feelings like anger or sadness when we or someone else makes a mistake. It means not being angry anymore and being willing to be friends again, even if someone did something wrong.
- "Confession" is talking to our Priest about what we did wrong and asking for forgiveness from God. It is when we say sorry to God and admit our mistakes, promise to try our best to do good things, and receive God's forgiveness. Confession is a time where we can talk to our priest who can help and pray for us when we make mistakes, and this brings us closer to God.
