Life after Death

Holy Chrismation

Holy Matrimony

Blessing of the Home

1 - Evaluate the restoration of Zachaeus into the Sonship through the presence of Jesus in his home.

2 - Consider the importance of repentance along with the blessing of the home.

3 - Connect the remembrance of the Old Testament fathers to the blessing of the home.

4 - Discuss what all is needed to do a Blessing of the Home.

Holy Saturday (Shabtho d'sbartho)

1 - Articulate the significance of Christ entering Sheol to save those who already have departed, and destroyed the gates of Sheol as well as the bondage of death.

2 - Infer how because all the dead from Adam until Christ's entombment have received the Gospel preached to them on Holy Saturday, for us who are alive and aware of these, it is our responsibility/obligation to repent of our sinfulness as we have no excuse now.

3 - Discuss our responsibility to pray for the departed.

4 - Perceive why after preparing the Body for burial, the women came to the tomb with incense and then rested on the Sabbath.

Resurrection (Qyomtho)

1 - Reflect how the Resurrection was our salvation from death but not from Final Judgment.

2 - Discuss how there is no Christianity without the Resurrection.

3 - Evaluate the concept "reversal of the transgression of the commandment by Adam".

4 - Use the Nativity Icon and explain the early Church's understanding on the Feast.

Transfiguration (Mtale)

1 - Connect Transfiguration with the active presence and life of the departed.

2 - Connect the events of Transfiguration with the communion of the saints.

3 - Explore how Transfiguration is the manifestation of heaven on Earth.

Angels

1 - Analyze the 9 Ranks of the Angels.

2 - Dissect the prayer before the Sanctus of the liturgy of St.James.

3 - Understand worship as joining our voices with the praise of the angels.

4 - Perceive the presence of a Guardian Angel in one's life protecting, interceding for, guiding and helping.

Monasticism
