Grade 1 Lesson 9: The Son of God

Reflection Questions
- Question: Have you heard that Jesus is “man” and “God” at the same time? What does this mean?
  - Answer: We believe that Jesus is "fully God" and "fully man". This is difficult to understand and cannot be explained. Talk to the children about how we can see Jesus performed many miraculous things which regular men can not do including bringing the dead back to life. Only God can can do that. But we also see Jesus is just like any other ordinary person - he eats like us, he sleeps like us, he laughs like us, and he cries like us. We can understand that He is God and man at the same time in this way but also it is OK to say we can also never fully understand as this is a mystery.
