- theosis – deification or understanding that human beings can have real union with God and become like God to such a degree that we participate in the divine nature.
- sanctuary (of a church) – the altar, the most sacred part of the church; also room where general worship is held; a place for worship.
- nave – center aisle of a church extending from the entrance to the front of the sanctuary.
- metamorphoses – transform.
