- Vocabulary
- A "census" is when we want to know how many people are living in a certain place. We ask everyone to fill out a form with their name, age, and other information. This helps us understand how many people live in different areas and how the population is changing. It's like counting all the people in a big group!
- A "manger" is a special type of feeding trough or a container that is used for animals to eat their food. It is often made of wood or other materials and can usually be found in a barn, stable, or any place that animals are kept. Animals like cows, horses, or goats might eat from a manger. When we remember Christmas, the word "manger" reminds us that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was born in a cave and laid in a manger for his bed. This reminds us of the pure humility of our God and we should be like Him!
- "Nativity" is another word for birth and in Church we use it mainly to mean the day our Lord Jesus Christ became man.
