- "Sacrament" can be defined as a special event in our life that God changes something in a way we cannot explain. It is also called a Holy Mystery. It is a time when God's presence is felt and His grace is received. In the Orthodox Church, Sacraments are important events that help us grow closer to God and receive His blessings. They include Baptism, Holy Qurbana, and Holy Confession. Sacraments are sacred and show our love and reverence for God. Remember in the Orthodox Church we don't say there are only seven Sacraments as God works in our life in so many ways.
- "Godparents" are very special people who are chosen to look after and support a child throughout their life. They are like extra parents who are there to help and guide the child. Godparents are often chosen for their love and care for the child, and they play a big role in Church events. They are a source of love, advice, and support, just like a parent or family member would be.
- A Baptismal "font" in Church is a special kind of tub that is used only for Baptisms. When someone is baptized, they are immersed or have holy water poured over them. The font is a tub specifically designed for this purpose. In the Orthodox Church it is not used for any other purpose as it contains Holy Chrism and Holy Water from each Baptism and is therefore holy and sacred.
