- Vocabulary
- The word "Messiah" is a term used to describe Jesus Christ as the chosen one, the savior, and the promised deliverer. It means that Jesus came to bring salvation to all people and fulfill God's plan for humanity. In simpler words, the Messiah is like a special hero sent by God to make everything good again and save us from our sins. He is the one who brings hope, love, and forgiveness to the world.
- A "convert" is someone who changes their beliefs or way of thinking. In the context of the lesson, Emperor Constantine and his mother Helena are converst as they became Christians after previously worshiping idols. It means that they changed their belief from worshiping statues to believing in Jesus Christ.
- A "saint" is someone who has died and is honored by the Church because they lived in a special way, just like how Jesus taught us to live. Saints are usually written as "St." and their stories inspire us to be kind, loving, and helpful to others. They are like superheroes in heaven who continue to guide us and show us how to be good people
