Expanding Thoughts on Lesson

  • Mourning and Ongoing Prayers
    • When you enter the church, there is usually a paper where we can write the names of our departed loved ones so the priest can specially remember them during (or after) the service. Most people write on the annual anniversary of the departure. But you can write every day. If you ask, the priest will do a special prayer for the person, after the HQ, at your home, and even at the cemetery. In these cases it is nice to give the priest a gift of appreciation, if possible, but not necessary. It is good to remind that “God is God of the living not of the dead.”
