  • G9.LO22 - Elaborate that the Church's spiritual disciplines and sacraments as tools to deal with burdens of a fallen world.

Fasting

  • G9.LO28 - Explain the main objectives of fasting.
  • G9.LO29 - Argue that fasting is liberation from our enslavement to desire and passions.
  • G9.LO30 - Deduce that other things that we can try to fast from are other distractions that can interfere with our spirituality.
  • G9.LO31 - Examine how fasts of Wednesday, Friday, Nineveh and Great Lent are penitential fasts while the others are intercessory, commemorative of those events, and in spiritual preparation.
