In order to help our children grow in the Orthodox Faith in North America, a decision was made to standardize all materials to the Orthodox Study Bible (DSWA Kalpana DSWA/C/016/2010, October 28, 2010). Please continue to pray and support the development of a fully approved translation based on the Peshitta, and our textbooks will educate on the various translations and historic development of Scripture.

Liturgical Resources

The Ministry of Liturgical Resource Development (LRD) was created in July of 2015 (DSWA Kalpana DSWA/C/10/2015, July 24,2015) to promote the translation, versification, and publication of vital English liturgical resources. Today most of our Sacramental offices are available and the "Service Book of the Holy Qurbono" and "Shehimo: Book of Common Prayer" are available in print. Wherever possible references will be made using LRD resources given the easy access to these materials to the faithful in North America.

Even now, O Lord, Who had brought us to this hour, be with us and among us by driving away from our souls all the darkness of ignorance. Fill us with the light which is beyond the world, guiding us unerringly to the all perfect and three-fold light which, beyond all understanding, proceeds from the Holy Trinity. Enlighten the eyes of our minds by the rays of Your light, and make us the children of light. By the indwelling of Your Holy Spirit, transform these waters into a fountain of healing. Fill them with the gifts of holiness, that they may be a source of help for those who receive them. Set us all free from disgraceful passions. Now O Lord, by the threefold invocation of the three Lights that are beyond the world, make these waters that are placed before us the waters that multiply joy. Make these waters, ‘the waters of rest’, the purification of all defilements of sin, healing for souls and bodies, restoration to the sick, healing of barrenness, protection for homes; that which repels demons, adversaries, grudges, murder, hatred, jealousy, sorcery, idolatry and all demonic acts. May they become the waters which forbid the dangers of the air and dispel all dangerous conditions; and which make the seeds to grow, protecting the plants and ripening the fruits. May they become life-giving and redeeming waters for all those who participate in them, for You are the One who gives blessing and every perfect gift, and the Lord of our nature and the helper of our creation. We offer up glory to You with Your Father and Your Holy Spirit, now and always, forever and ever.
