Connecting Materials
- Why Do We Have Our Homes Blessed?, by Phyllis Meshel Onest (Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America)
- NOTE: In some other Churches, the house blessing is an extension of the Feast of Den’aha (Theophany) where the water is consecrated and sprinkled upon the members of the Church for the sanctification and glorification of the worshippers. The service of blessing, which began in the church, is finished with the sprinkling of water in the home during House Blessing so we can extend the grace of God to our individual dwelling.
